Dr Kay Gerry
Kay has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge working as a locum veterinarian all over Sydney and has worked for several years in the Manly area before opening the practice.
When not at work, Kay likes to attend veterinary lectures, both evening and week-long, and enjoy her family.
Aunty Kay – the early years
Fiona – Veterinary Nurse
Fiona was raised on the Northern Beaches and grew up with cats. She has raised three daughters. For 12 years Fiona managed a local school canteen where she is still regarded by students as a legend! One day she brought her cats in for vaccination and health checks and ended up with a job.
Sorcha – Veterinary Nurse
Although Sorcha was born in Australia, she was raised in Ireland before coming full circle and settling back in Sydney. She has studied Archaeology at university and has now completed a degree in Conservation Science and Ecology. She loves all animals, but especially her three large dogs at home. Sorcha hopes to continue in a career involving animals in any shape or form.
Sean – Veterinary Nurse
Sean grew up with a Labrador Honey, who single-handedly fueled his love for all animals, but especially dogs.
After a brief stint in research and completing his honours degree in Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience, he hopes to move on to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program to give back the love he’s received from the animals he’s grown up around.
Piper – Practice Supervisor Feline
Piper was a rescue kitten from a farm on the outskirts of Sydney. She became most proficient in ping pong soccer & fishing rod toy games at a young age. She knows she has big paws to fill at Sydney Road Vets. It seems she was born for the challenge.
Her good looks are of the silver tabby type, just like her predecessor. Coincidentally the birthdate the rescue society have given her is the date our Fifi left us to be the Supervisor of Kitty Heaven.
